Banstead have a young side and well deserved a 1-0 lead at half time. Indeed, it could have been more.

Horley grafted in the second half and when they played the ball on the ground carved out several excellent chances.

It was only a matter of time until they drew level. A well taken free kick brough the equaliser.

They went off the boil a little after scoring. Ended up a fair 1-2 result.

Banstead should do a lot better than last season.

South Park 3-2 Farnham Town

Nice to start the season with 3 points against a much stronger Farnham side only recognised 2 of there players from last year. Bit of a scrappy game, with both sides not giving the other any time or space on the ball. Park goals from Lavery, Smith and Mottram....Farnham goals came from a peach of a free kick and a penalty.

One for the Ref's

Farnham player bit frustrated swung an elbow at our right back, right infront of the Ref......luckily for our right back he's only 2 foot tall and it just missed his head. Ref pulls him over i think he's got to go for that, Ref give yellow. So i ask the Ref does he have to take his head off to get a Red and he just nodded. At the time i thought thats just crazy, i still think it is but after finding out it was his first CCL game maybe he bottled it. Or am i wrong is it just a yellow?

For a dismissal for Violent Conduct it can be 'strikes or attempts to strike', So, yes, clearly TRYING to elbow someone but missing can be worthy of a red card. I wasn't there though in order to see it to get a feel for what actually happened though.

So why was the fellow not sent off in the Chertsey v Badshot game, fair enough he got fouled, but is retaliation allowed.

its called inconsistancy Smudge and its always been in the game and always will be, its not the Refs fault, he can only give what he sees and sometimes even when things seem clear cut the poor old ref can only apply the law as he and his officials deem right, others would say it it favouroutism because sometimes it appears that way.

Chertsey 3-1 badshot. Very feisty first game of the season for Chertsey bit a fully deserved win!! Chertsey opened the scoring when a looping shot from Dean papali went over the keeper and into the far corner, badshot then equalised early in the second through a penalty after jack Francis had pushed a badshot player on the back, the lively Marty Baxter then regained chertseys lead with a poachers goal after a jack Francis free kick had been saved by the goalkeeper. badshot never gave up and were a very organised side but Chertsey and in particular Tom oregan managed to break and a stunning finish from oregan after holding off two badshot lea defenders wraped up a very physical game for Chertsey!

If you are going to steal other players the least you could do is get his name right...

3-0 win for Molesey today, deserved and could have been more but we hit the bar once and the post twice!

Looking good for the new season

GOOD WIN ELFMOLE/MOLESKIN, 3-0 HONESTLY I AM SURPRISED IT WAS BY THAT MUCH, I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE ALOT TIGHTER, BUT HEY WHAT DO I KNOW !

Decent win in the end for us yesterday.

Chobham were a much changed side from when we played them last season. A few decent players and they were very unlucky to lose 5-0. At 0-0 our keeper made 2 or 3 great saves.

Personally I think chobham will surprise a few teams this season. Also after speaking to members of their committee, there are plans to upgrade the ground in the near future which is great news for the club.

I know you're probably being tongue in cheek duncs, but if the ref didn't see that shove in the Chertsey game then he needs a white stick! Mandatory red surely? He was a very lucky boy to stay on. That apart thought the ref had a decent game.
