Couldn't get to Carshalton today so watched the Rezzies instead. Excellent effort by our lads, only losing out to a superb header by Brayley who then totally lost it getting booked for arguing over a free kick then proceeding to put in a series of late tackles on our young lads, how he stayed on the pitch is a mystery, would have thought better of a senior player, perhaps he think reserve team football is beneath him.

Sounds about right for Bertie! Apparently West Ham released him because of an attitude problem and it seems he has fallen out with the management team at Canvey. Could be a great player if he sorted himself out and developed the right attitude.

Your management team on Saturday had every opportunity to make a substitution and show that they will not stand for that sort of behaviour. They all agreed he was "out of order" and needed to "calm down". His worst tackles were early in the second half and two I saw were both sending off offenses on their own, the referee quite clearly did not want to send him off in the first game of the season and that was a mistake. This boy will never learn if he is allowed to get away with it week in week out.

 

These incidents apart it was a very good contest between two good sides

He's been told that he will spend most of his games this season with the Reserves. As will Scott Forbes and Michael Lee apparently, (although all three are in the First XI Squad Photo).

 

I don't like Bertie's attitude, he most of the time he would shout "c**t" or "b*****ks" while the Goalkeeper is kicking the ball out. It's quite easy to see why West Ham & Swindon got rid of him...He must take after his Mother! <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
