This bloke is a fecking pain in the asse I to have had a couple of run ins with him, he likes to start trouble when he has plenty of backup but is a little sh1t when you actually get to him,Guildford are a very good side and will finish well up in this league but he needs to calm down and keep his insultihg remarks to himself

Yer good luck with him Steve I actually went into the Guildford dugout to confront him because he was a complete tw@t and after the game all he wanted to do was shake my hand(which I did before you do gooders start ) during the match the officials did nothing apart from warn him about his behavior he wasn't asked to leave the dug out and continued to call abuse at me and the Cove players.

Maybe I wasn't being to harsh hey Tucks and Sweeney.

Like I said Guildford have a great set if players there and should challenge this season if the discipline is good. Unfortunately with him in charge I can't see that happening.

Should be a good game saturday though, two good sides and egham probably smarting from their 1st league game.

Think I will head there.

Steve, I take it you will be down the Spectrum tomorrow night for our game there, to get some info on Guildford. Be good to see you, although I assume you will keep yourself up in the stand to concentrate on their players. Should be a good game and, hopefully, the pitch will be in good nick!

Shock Guildford being involved in something like that, the times I saw them last season every game resulted in a Guildford red card and numerous bookings, manager belongs in pub football so no surprise his players act like they do.

Couldn't agree with you more. We played them last year at their place and the mangers behavior as well as his players was a complete disgrace.

The lack of respect he showed a fellow manger by shouting out "cmon boys this lot are shxt " and continually laughing and goading my players was somthing i had not experienced.

He then went one step further and played a big part in getting one of my players sent of. (then laughed and admitted he should't have been)

Dont get me wrong i am no angel but there is a line you dont cross. We all have the odd verbal but this was something i would expect to see on park football.

His players were exactly the same, when they were 3-0 up the players in the dugout were laughing at my players as well as giving them plenty of abuse for no reason.

I am sure this is not the first punch up they have had and i am sure it wont be the last.

Anyway we have got them on Saturday in the FA Cup so i am sure i will find out.

Cheers

Steve

Surrey finest, duncs, steve - surreys finest in your post previously you state the manager was sent off or warned each time you went , perhaps you can quote the games as to my knowledge he has never been sent off or warned for his conduct,- duncs i recall our manager making us applaud cove onto the pitch after their cup final success, never heard him call out to any of your players and as i recall you did decide to go into our dugout and confront the assistant manager who did not back down from you and all shook hands at the end, steve well- the most ridiculous comments i have ever seen. i was a player on the bench and in no way did our manager call out to your players or laugh at your players whatsoever, as i recall you decided to approach our bench and call the playeres a bunch of sunday players and pub players. i was on the bench and i personally gave you plenty of stick and banter after you shouted what you did, many other players on the bench joined in until our manager told us to shut up. i cant comment on friday as i wasnt there- out injured at the moment, however, the players i spoke to said it wasnt a bad game and a bit of handbags at the end. Anyway those wearing the tinted glasses have had their opinion on that and i am sure will in the future.

If you were on the bench that day you must have had a blindfold and ear muffs on.

Your on a different planet if that was your version of events !

I'll take the bate and have a bite!

Tinted it seems everybody but you thinks your manager is a tw4t,Ginger got sent off in front of your bench and you lot were goading him, your manager spent most of his time running his mouth,I enjoy banter on and off the field but your gaffer went too far.steve is passionate and new to management and sometimes that shows but he shows respect to all opposition until he feels they no longer deserve it! Guildfords management don't.

There you go,tinted just landed pearcey!

Now thats a big catch! :excited:

I was at the Guildford City v Egham Town game last season, as you'd expect, and I recall the Guildford manager's behaviour winding Steve up. We had no problems with the result, cos we were crepe that day, but Ginger has never been sent off before or since while with Egham. He must have been wound up as well - where would that start? Should be very interesting at the Runnymede Stadium on Saturday. As Pearcey says, and Steve agrees, our boss is passionate about his team but has never been less than respectful to other teams; for proof see his comments after our debacle on Saturday. Tinted glasses? More like painted black.
