I think you'll find that nobody tried to tell people "what they can or can't do" . Two people, myself included, just suggested that it wasn't necessarily an approach that we agreed with. Nobody wished Alan ill in his search for a job or told him that he "couldn't" promote himself on the forum.

 

Seems to me that it is actually you who has a problem with people expressing an opinion that is different to yours.
