I hadn't realised that Bristol Palin had suffered malicious death threats before incredibly reaching the Dancing With The Stars grand final last year and eventually finishing third with amazing partner Mark Ballas. Apparently, for some unknown reason, a second American Civil War would have broken out in the US had she won and she said just before the nail biting final, watched by 90% of America, that "going out there and winning this would mean a lot, it would be like a big middle finger to all the people out there who hate my mom and hate me."

An interesting and informative article indicating that Bristol's progress to the Dancing With The Stars final may have been fixed, I hadn't realised that was the same series the iconic Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough, yes him, had won the competition so it's hardly surprising that an unprecedented 24.6 million viewers watched the final, the highest for any entertainment show in the US that year pulling in over $200,000 from companies for each thirty second commercial:
