Think he played for Glenorchy Knights with his brother Tom (having Googled him!). Tom has just returned to Oz and said yesterday that his brother is staying in UK and playing for Margate

James Sherman (always James, never Jim in google etc search results) - born 27.02.89.

 

Comes from Tasmania. Youth honours - Eastern Region (capt.) Southern Tasmania (capt.) U15,16,19 Tasmanian State Representative U19 Victorian schoolboys U19 Australian schoolboys.

 

Started senior career with Whittlesea Zebras (Victoria League) in 2004.

 

May 2007 - trial with Adelaide United (A League).

 

July 2008 - two friendlies for Scunthorpe before trying his luck at Port Vale.

 

Played at least 3 friendlies for Vale later in July 2008 / early August 2008.

 

January 2009 joined Melbourne Knights - played with Ian Pulman there and apparently shared house / flat with him.

 

End of 2009 moved to Glenorchy Knights where he played alongside his brother Tom. Scored first half hat-trick for Glenorchy in 4-3 home win over New Town Eagles in March 2010 - last game for club before leaving Australia soon afterwards.

 

Ian Pulman suggested James to Iain O'Connell.

4 central midfielders-just what the doctor ordered-none of these fluffy wide player/frail winger types who just fall over all of the time.

 

I guess that means that Sam Jones is now permanently lost in the US of A

 

Is it being greedy/too much too ask given financial restraints to hope to see either one or both of Ishmail and waugh signed to give our somewhat mature strke force some youthful competition.

 

With their experience, i'm sure that pinnock, sigere and tait are simply saving themserlves until the real stuff starts !!
