Going back to the football side, I was encouraged by the performaces of Scott Gooding and Jamie Southon but our Man of the Match has got to be Daniel Gay he played a blinder.

 

Sad to see such a skillfull side play a long ball game it just didn't pay off would have liked to see Danny come on, agh well home match against Hayes Tuesday and i see a good 3 points <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Tough to say really we matched them but their striker was a hand full they kept on catching us on the break i think we would have deserved a draw.It was too long ball for me.Westie should have score in the first five minutes and we should have had a penalty!

Wel1 well, well! Mr Murfitt, or should I say muppet returns. I was censored for calling this bloke 'a muppet' in the Canvey programme after a truely inept performance in the home game against Hayes last season. One of the worst refereeing performances I've ever seen although today's ref against Basingstoke was pretty bad!!

I will explain Little Miss, we will be back on our pitch able to play the ball around. The support of the home crowd will spur the lads on and hopefully the return of Vinnie to the Bench.

Considering Hendon finished (I believe) 3rd last term, I think it was not a bad showing considering we matched them and I think deserved at least a draw.
