Any updates,Stands,Lights,Dressing Rooms,Parking.Have any clubs upped their Food and Drinks prices.Admission Prices.Programmes etc.

 

 

 

I have to say I need to report the fact that I drove past Knaphills ground yesterday evening and there was still no sign of any lights :)

 

Well it is a while since someone posted that isn't it ? ;)

Cobham have revamped the clubhouse so it's acctually now a nice place to be. The ground itself has been tidied up massively and there are also plans to fix the terrible enterance road very soon! Looking good at the Leg O Mutton!

Ours has seen de-improvements pitch wise!

 

Our clubhouse and changing rooms are still the same but the rest of the ground is much changed.

 

All the trees are gone which is a shame as it gave the ground real character - the far side where you normally park is now a construction site. The pitch ( and lights ) have been moved at an angle and closer to the clubhouse. The only way in now is through a narrow path at the top end of the ground ( behind the goal )

The pitch is now minimum width ( same as Merstham ) - it's usually a decent pitch as anyone thats played on it will testify. however it's a bit of a patched up job this season espeically on the near side so apologies in advance.

Next summer will see it all dug up, raised and laser levelled

We at Horley have moved the dugouts to the far side of the ground , probably a good idea there is nothing like 100 assistant managers telling you what to do , the pitch will be in good condition come next tuesday ,so the groundsman sez !!!! other than that it all remains the same with the new sportscentre next door not yet underway , oh we have got a new caterer using the kitchen but I aint got a clue as to there quality or prices ...........pop along next tuesday and see for yourselves ..............Rashers

Plans are in place to move the stand to the opposite side of the pitch. Should be completed by the end of August.

 

Floodlights - Plans are for them to be in place early in 2011. Funding and application are both progressing well.

heard a rumour that the manager has told some players at Knaphill that the lights will not be up so no chance of promotion. Few players are thinking about departing.

 

AHHH, Surrey Legend, still harping on about Knaphill's lights. I spoke to the Manager last night, more signings on their way. No-one at the club is telling any-one that the lights are not coming. Our Chairman had a meeting the the top brass at WBC on Monday afternoon. Everthing is ready to go apart from the Football Foundation money which is granted, but just awaiting approval from The FF Committee so it can be released. WBC are ready to pounce with contractors camping at the bit.

 

When the lights are up, I will delighted to invite any Gold Member to the headline game we will be using to showcase our new lights, Look forward to seeing you all there.

 

Patience is a virtue, so they say.

 

If anyone wamts to take this as a bite, please do!! But, I don't think I will bother commenting on any further tittle-tattle about the lights at Redding Way. When there is something to say, I'll be there!

 

PS Why would the manager tell some players and not all of them, doesn't make sense really. I also love people that don't quote their sources.

Krooner,you old devil,never entered our heads to mention Knaphill's Lights,then you throw it in the mix,after you knew on Monday,what knappy has said above was true.Stirring of the highest degree.

I heard today that due to a change at M.V.D.C., it now seems we will be able to do some tree surgery work at Meadowbank at last. This should certainly improve our security and eliminate the loss of power from the flood-light on the centre pylon on the side opposite the club-house.

Raynes Park Vale, have a new stand behind the bottom goal, built during the summer. It reminds me a bit of the Woking stand behind their goal.
