Bedfont Sports have new look side bar 4 or 5 from last season, have signed a few players who have played in the prem and can still do so. Good squad i reckon a bit of a dark horse!

 

 

 

 

anyone know much of the hayes gate squad and the players they have that have played a higher league ?

a fair few of their players from last season havent returned, such as their 2 centre halves (both played in Zamaretto league previously), striker who was once with QPR, their influential centre midfielder who was at uxbridge and slough has a knee injury and out for a while, Danny Jordan ex Slough is now with Flackwell im led to believe, and Ryan O'Toole only played a few games for them last year to help them out.

 

Most of their players this season have played Spartan/Combined prem and div 1 levels most of their careers, are all decent and think they will do fairly well this year in Div 1. Strong side, physical, quick on the wings, nippy forward who loves the ball over the top, but slow at the back.

many thanks neutral bob any reason for them not returning as seems silly to drop down to midd prem , get promoted then leave ? is that barrance homer and currie left ?

Basically those ones mentioned all dropped down purely to play with mates and because they couldnt commit, and in my very personal opinion, only Homer could cut it now at that level as Barrance isnt mobile enough now and Currie just cant be bothered and has lost his pace so wouldnt have helped their cause anyway, only my opinion mind. Saying that, they r still a very useful side and would expect them to be top 4 most def.

cool thanks for that only interested as i used to know a couple lads that played there when i was alot younger , so knaphill v hayes gate looks like a tasty game then , also clearly isnt alot of difference between middx prem and div 1 of cc as bedfont came up and did well , hanworth villa after adjusting have gone up again and cb hounslow continue to compete

He is probably too busy trying to learn all the new names.

 

I have no idea who has signed on and who hasn't TBH Duncs. Understand Joe Paris has gone to Epsom and Justin to Egham. Past that I really don't know.

Feltham have got a lot of new players from last season (which was needed).

 

TBH I don't know much about them as I have decided to take a season out (even at my age) due to ongoing injuries, 3 young kids and to be honest a lack of passion for the game at the moment (still signed as emergency keeper though).

 

Will pop along and watch some games so might bump in to some of you BTK on the sidelines :smilewinkgrin:

has kanani from bedfont sports signed for uxbridge ? is he good enough to jump 2 leagues ?

Hi,

 

I think this info was posted on the Hartley Wintney message board after our reserve friendly on Saturday. We actually had three of last years first team playing. This was to give them additional fitness and game time after holidays/work commitments restricted their involvement in the other preseason games.

 

It's no secret that there have been changes at the club. We've lost a few players to family commitments, a couple have joined other clubs etc.

 

We have a few new players and we needed to increase the squad size after struggling towards the end of last season.

 

Having read most of the posts on this message board, I think it will be a very interesting first weekend. Most clubs seem to have improved, so I think their will be a few surprise results.

many thanks for clearing that up , take it u have kept the likes of scully and stamp and also watched them play last year and had very good centre mid had great feet looked quite young too? if so then should be challenging again, can they be promoted if finish in top three?

Hi,

 

Yes we still have the likes of Scully, Stamp and the centre midfielder who will allbe playing tomorrow.

 

We've big plans for the ground this year and everything should be in place to ensure promotion, if we finish in the top 3.

We lost the following players from the squad at the end of the season.

 

Captain Steve Gibson who has moved for work to the Newcastle area and actually signed for Whitley Bay (FA Vase Winners)

Steve Goddard has also re-located to the North East for personal reasons.

Liam Stone has signed for Carshalton to become there No 2 GK

Sam Belcher has returned to Wycombe and signed a pro contract

John Pomroy has signed for Egham Town

 

All the rest of the squad from last seaso minus the 5 above have re-signed for the coming season.

 

THOUGHT JOHN BOSWELL HAD LEFT CHERTSEY DUE TO SIMON COX ARRIVAL .....STRANGE HE'S NOT MENTIONED OR ARE THERE TOO MANY TO MENTION ?
