Cobham

 

Dan reeves from Colliers wood.

jake Baxter from Colliers wood.

Russell townsand from Banstead.

mark rouse from Banstead.

matt Weston (year out) last with Walton casuals.

Adam fenall (few years out) part of the Walton casuals ccl winning side.

A few others that don't spring to mind at the moment.

 

 

Another goalkeeper at Cobham then.

You can never have enough, you wouldn't believe we had to play a outfield player in goal bs Walton casuals as we didn't have a keep available!!!

You can never have enough, you wouldn't believe we had to play a outfield player in goal bs Walton casuals as we didn't have a keep available!!!

 

 

Couldn't they lend you one just for the day.

South Park have signed Horley Town's best 4 players IMO, including last years Captain:)

 

 

Its allways a shame to lose players from your squad , I know who last years captain was but who are the other three ...........Rashers

Chertsey fan:-bradshaw played for leatherhead,one of the walton team,Croydon and I think 1 other team.hold on to him if you can he's a good keeper.

 

jurg & YHW:- you have no worries,rouse will spend most of the season injured or suspended,he is a good keeper and you'll learn alot training with him

bradshaw is a pal, he was at portsmouth before going to Dorchester and finding his way to Walton casuals... Also had spells at k's and leatherhead. Top keeper, plus an ex cage fighter!

 

Rouse is more likely to spend the season hungover!!

Molly you are correct that all of those players played for Horley last season.

 

However Wazza left in December came back in March and then got injured.

 

JJ joined about November after he fell out with South Park, again and did ok.

 

Smithy (Michael) joined in December and was in and out of the side due to work commitments and a poor attitude.

 

Danny I accept was one of horley's better players and wazza is a terrific keeper but JJ and Smithy i can't agree.

 

If your new much about horley's players you would put Anthony Jupp, John Eldred, Liam Cox, Adam Pullen, Mark Gilbert and Luke Ragetti among others ahead of JJ and Smithy.

 

I'm sure south park will have a good season because your signings will improve you but the premier is a lot tougher than Div 1. Good luck to you and to Gilly, Rashers and Horley Town.

Sorry mate was just having a bit of local banter with you ,as said allways a shame to lose good quality players , and to be honest we have lost most of last years squad , but anyone who has left for pastures new will allways be welcome badk at Horley Town FC ( Our Reserves could do with some strengthening ) .

 

As they say the show must go on , with only two of last years senior players Anthony Jupp and John Eldred signed this year we have had to bring in a few new faces , but me ,gilly and Banner are happy with the progress of the new boys and implementing a new style of play ( we play football now ) we at the club are looking forward to an interesting start to the season ..........................Rashers

if you play football now. does that mean you did not like the last managers style of play. could be a long season at horley.

 

Different managers different style ,and to be honest I never liked the old way they played , as said alot of new players here now ,and we still have not had them on the pitch all together in any of our friendlies , so your right could be a long season at Horley Town FC ........................Rashers

So i got 2 out of 4 in your eyes ( not too bad then). As for the players you mentioned i know them all, Juppy and John very good players and top blokes, as for the rest they wouldnt get in our squad IMO, but thats what football and this site is about opinions....thanks for you reply and good luck

Epsom & Ewell have had the following new joiners, and although I believe they have all signed, I do not know this for certain, as I haven't been party to this.

 

Mark Jarman has returned from Bookham, also Sam Currie from Bookham

Tom Jelley has returned to the club from Banstead

Luke Gay also returned from Corinthian Casuals

Darren Smith has returned from Chessington & Hook and Paul West has also joined from that club.

Phil N'gbale has returned after a break from football

 

Gary Hewson has joined from Carlisle United, and no I'm not sure at what level he played there before you ask.

Joe Paris has joined from Camberley Town

Tony Cuff has joined from Leatherhead and Sutton United previously

Dean Sammut has joined from Banstead

Matt Fowler has joined after a break from football with injury. Too many clubs to mention but a top player when fit.

 

On the leavers side it appears that Matt Smith is no longer with us, while Richard Webber also hasn't played yet, but I can't confirm whether that is because he has left or is still injured from his ankle break at Badshot Lea in May.

 

I believe we will be stronger this year than last, but recent friendly results like our 1-0 defeat to Molesey tell me that it might take a while before we get going. Hopefully we'll still be in some of the cups by that time, with our FA Cup match with Shoreham on the 14th August being of particular concern. Luckily we don't play in the Vase until November!
