Gutted???

Recommended Posts

Nah not really,it was a cracking game that both sides wanted to win

I think the fitness showed once they got the equaliser but we still pushed on and were unlucky not to draw level through jamie Richards who was superb

when you look at the players still to come back(hunt, thommo, janners etc etc) we have a real chance this year, plus we may add one or two names

the midfield bossed the game and let's not forget that Colchester are proffesional and start their season on Saturday,we are still 2 weeks away

Still,I am sure we will smash west ham next week anyway

You can't be gutted with that performance. The Urchins played well and gave their all. A second goal for us would have settled it I feel. However they came to win and we never really recovered from two well delivered sucker punches which were quality and understandably knocked our confidence. Thereafter for me we played a little too deep and run a little out of ideas. Bodes well for the season. May I just take this opportunity to say that the young lads in the Eastside were brilliant. Throughout the game they we constantly making noise and encouraging the team, with superb timing and banter. Fantastic.

Well I was very proud to be an Urchin last night, great performance by every player.:excited: :excited: :excited: :excited:

But its not just the players we have to thank, it's every one that has been involved with The Club this

last year, you all know who you are and a big slap on the back to all of you for saving "Our Club"

The atmosphere was good last night but on a slight sour note 2 or 3 of the young lads there last night felt the need to constantly use the c word, don't get me wrong,I will use it now and then when the red mist descends but to use it two or three times a minute is quite frankly embarrasing to the point that if I was an official I would hardly be inclined to give any decision our way

Agree but they should not be discouraged but channeled in the right direction. If the Urchins are to move forward they are going to need to attract and retain new support. Perhaps a highlighted paragraph in the programme as a ground rule or a pre match announcement from Max might be an idea.

I did speak to one of them last night, just said that it's ok to be loud to get carried away every now and then like many of us do but when it's constant like it was last night it's not on

Saying that I have never been a fan of having the directors area right next to the rowdy part of the crowd

You could always transfer some seating away from the Riverside and create a new 'kop' area at the half way line with the new seating area designated for away fans!!

Lol
