Not sure if it's been posted elsewhere but line-up was...

Turner

Lacy (Etienne-Clark)

Robinson

Osborne

Groombridge (Grant)

Ball

Marsden (Wilson)

Saunders (off injd after 11 mins - Sherman)

Tait (Waugh)

Sigere (Ishmail)

Pinnock

Unused sub - Winchcombe

Dover had quite a few chances but found Jamie Turner in excellent form. We didn't offer much going forward and only real effort on goal was a first half shot from Curtis Robinson that was cleared off the line by Olly Schulz. Crowd 479.

Result does'nt matter-what counts is what was learnt ?

Not there so can't comment-but reading the Dover forum-it suggests that Lacy and robinson (and who ever else played at full back) were given a bit of a going over tonight.

Does'nt really mattter-as we needed a tough test.

Which partnership looks more threatening-Ishmail and Waugh or Siggy and Tait ?

Has Sherman signed at all ?

Last nights encounter would have done wonders for the team.Okay, chances were few & far between for us but the defence was like a brick wall at times.None of those silly silly fouls on the edge of the area that we have seen in the past which led to quite a few goals against.

Our defenders harried the opposition out of it & generally were well organised. Helped by some superb goalkeeping from Turner plus some poor finishing on behalf of the opposition plus a bit of luck at times, the lads did good.

Sure we need more poke up front & I'm sure that will come. Ismail when he comes on puts himself about & is improving all the time & Waugh also makes his presence felt. Siggy & Tait arent i.m.o. into the swing of things just yet but I'm sure that will come. A goal a-piece will do wonders for both of them, especially Tait who has some lovely touches, yet at the moment looks frustrated more than anything. His form will improve & then we will see chances a-plenty with lots of goals to go with the superb defending we are witnessing at present.A good night was last night against a very strong outfit in Dover FC.

Things are really looking positive for the season on what has been witnessed so far.The players, including substitions, even at this early stage in the season, are playing as a unit & that is refreshing & encouraging for the season to come.
