Chesham United v Slough Town - LATEST

Yeah, think everyone was pretty pleased with that who I spoke to at the game. Not many Slough fans there, I think the pricing problems put a lot off.

First half very even. We had the better of it in the second-half as Chesham made a lot of changes, but they still had some very good players on the pitch.

Was very impressed with our workrate and closing down in midfield. Thought Coyne and Swift were once again very good. Another positive is turning out to be the partnership of Yiads and Seeby at the heart of the defence. They seem to have struck up a very good understanding there and were excellent again tonight.

Only disappoiting things tonight were the late free headed goal from Elsegood (after Yeboah had come off as he won everything all night up to that point) and maybe we could have created more chances for all our good play.

The 4-3-3 formation though looked quite good, and that gives us another option.

But overall encoraging against higher league opposition that comprehensively beat us in the play-off final.

Certainly been impressed with Chris Seeby in pre-season and as you say his partnership with Yads is looking good so far.

Again, Coyne and Swift impressed and I thought Terry O'Connor had a good game especially in the second half.

If I was to be honest, and I know it was only a friendly, but unless there was a good reason for it I was not overly impressed with making 3 substitutions in the last couple of minutes, especially disrupting the centre of defence at such a late stage in the game.

Thought we played really well last night. Chesham had the better of the first half, but the introduction of Craig O'Connor and Simon Martin unsetttled Chesham and made

for a much better second half from us. Disappointed with the last minute goal as I thought a draw was fair reflection of the game. Well worth the eight (sorry six) pounds.

RR: how was the tea?

Very nice thank-you and no sign of any profiteering at 60p a cup.

what is it with the fans nowadays not going to a football match coz it is too expensive , then when they concede and drop the price it still isn't good enough, must have been a really good programme on the goggle box, seems a case of cutting off your own nose to spite your face if you ask me.
