Did we win?

It was Matt Miller 7 mins., Alex Haddow 41 mins., Tony Boot (yes!!) 77 mins., and Ian Hodges 87 mins.

Their goal and just about only scoring opportunity was from a penalty 66 mins.

An easy win against a poor side on a terrible surface. OK we played well, but they were very poor indeed.

I was surprised to see Tony Boot (up yours Boreham Wood) and Alex Haddow (played against us for Aldershot last Friday). Two welcome quality additions to the side.

Encouraging.

The above is all totally accurate. Happy to see Boot back and thought Haddow, Steer, Harris, Payne and Miller all showed some good stuff today, just what you want from your new players. Pitch was dreadful but the team played well against a weak team. Roll on Monday and hopefully we can start as well at home!?!?!? as we have away.

Come on the Rebels!!!!!

Yeah played well today. Not sure about the quality of the opposition but you can only beat what's in front of you.

Pitch was awful - so bumpy and went two up through Miller and Haddow. Second half we totaly dominated and played well after an indifferent first half despite being two-goals up.

Conceded a silly penalty which was nearly saved, but Booty added a third and Hodges headed a fourth.

Gyoury hit the post, Haddow hit the post, Daly had one off the line. Could have been a lot more, but an encouraging start.

Well I never expected that ! Tony Boot playing and a great result . Agree should have been 8 . Did think we were very ordinary first half , but the second half was a joy to watch . Well done lads !

Well played today lads, good performance from the debutants, excellent to see Boot back with us,him and Miller have the making of a good partnership. Not taking anything from the win,but Epsom weren't that brilliant and i'm sure we will come up against stronger opposition, but as the saying goes you can only beat whats in front of you.

How a change in formation lifts everyone's spirits. Playing 4-4-2 looked so much more solid and how great it was to have Booty back in the side.

I thought Harris, Miller and Foster were all awesome today, and Haddow and Steer seemed to link up well on the left hand side. Hodges also looked good and full of running when he came on. (How much better do we look without Deaner even near the bench??)

Thought Spencer took a while to get going, whilst Payne had a competent game alongside him in the middle.

Good display going forward with plenty of options on either flank. Good to see Hodge score, and their keeper made a handful of good saves to keep the scoreline respectable, whilst Foster at the other end looked comfortable with everything he did.

But as reality sets back in to an evening at Windsor for Monday night's match, I can only hope we can reproduce a similar performance. Mind you, just even being there brings us down a notch or two, but the surface there was better than it was today, so that's one positive at least...

That penalty that they got as well. It took us three bloody attempts to hack their bloke down. Gyoury missed, Daly slid past him and eventually Brown got in his way by trying to rugby tackle him which didn't work and as he fell over he whacked the ball away with his hand..... Fossie nearly saved it though!

Tilbury, Aveley, Barking, Wembley, Barton Rovers and Great Wakering Rovers. All poor sides that we came up against away from home last year and failed to beat.

Epsom & Ewell probably aren't the best team we'll face this year but you can still look poor against poor sides if you don't play well. Today we were excellent.

In addition to all of the other performances mentioned, I thought Steve Daly was awesome.
