Chesham Utd (a) - 3rd August

Intresting to see that no one from Chesham has had the front to justify there "full" price for a friendly - Windsor Rebels' post from lunchtime today remains unanswered!

With this and the Romulous rip off from last year, there will be some teams who will miss out on any Slough income rather than a "fair" income from sensible prices.

The alternative is for Slough to up the prices for certain teams visits!? not that any of them bring more than a handfull!

Hi Staines Rebel, At least we aren't charging the new 2010 PREMIERSHIP prices :-) I think that the game tomorrow night will be the most competitive friendly you will see, as I can't see bates wanting to lose 5 on the bounce to Chesham ;-)

OK, Chesham were doing a bit of profiteering but fair play to them, they have listened and have now reduced the price.

Chesham are not alone in doing this, look at Holyport, a regular pre-season fixture for us, who are below us in the pyramid and charge £5.

IMO, If it's a real big issue to the point where it stops some of us attending games on a point of principle, perhaps, as a suggestion, when these games are arranged the cost of entry is discussed and agreed at that point so we know where we stand and hopefully cut out any future conflict and accusations of profiteering.

I will be going tonight, mainly because Chesham have listened but also because it should be a good game to watch for all the obvious reasons.

Hi There,

Chesham Webmaster & Moderator here,

The post was not seen on the Forum until 6.15pm when the moderated 1st posts were released. I then made the Board aware of the upset and the 2 Match Secretaries had a conversation.

Hope to see some of you at the Meadow this evening for what should be a very entertaining game

Sorry RR how the hell can you say "Ok Chesham were doing a bit of profiteering but fair play to them at least they have lowered the prices", that is absolutely ridiculous this shouldnt have happened in the first place!!!!

£3 is more than enough for a friendly, £5 at the most, to consider charging £8 is not on at all, I am sorry but I am really cross about this!

And as for the Holyport game charging £5, they have shot themselves in the foot as well, as there are a lot of us who wont be going there next year again either.
