Hopes and targets 2010/11

With the new season nearly upon us take a step back for a minute and think what’s your goals for this season realistically

 

 

 

From a personal opinion the last two years have been poor at Westfield so I’d be delighted to once again compete in this league and even though the standard will be better I expect as always in div 1 there’s a cluster of 6 maybe 7 clubs that tend to lead the way so that effect I’d be happy with a top 6 finish and our place back in the FA cup

(1) To win the league

(2) To go further than we did in the Vase last season

(3) To reach the final of the League Cup

Curfew, I agree with you, would be a bonus to have another good vase run but league must be bread and butter, to get promotion and then build on bigger and better things

My hopes are to eventually hear the end of this [censored] about being a Gold Member.

We all run our own little sites but don't go around scrounging off people to keep those sites going. We chose to set them up, we pay the fees involved, end of story.

I wouldn't have the cheek to demand £5 a year from people for them to be entitled to read my Twitter which costs me money for every text I send to it.

I'll happily send money to people who run websites that I think are important. I regularly sent money to another to keep his website and forum going and I've offered to pay money to Richard Rundle to get the FCHD back online as he's recently lost his job and can't afford the fees.

These sites matter to me.

FansFocus doesn't matter to me. If it went off air tomorrow it wouldn't bother me. I'm hardly a regular on this site as the amount of posts I've done will show.

VPCTFC, Suprised at your response,A scrounger I am definitely not and nor is Ian W. The Banter regarding Gold Membership is done by me and me alone.Why you may ask? The reason being that in my opinion when people have paid a small joining fee,they are more likely to return to air their views on any matter.This then widens the opinions aired from different perspectives.Whether we agree or not we are free to say so.When a site goes dead or no one posts people forget about it,a bit like FREE Football Entry that Clubs try during the Season,crowds double but only a few return to the next paying match.What is your Twitter site,maybe we should visit it,of course it is Free.Bite Over!!!!!!!

If there was any way of donating towards the reinstatement of FCHD.info, I'd be more than happy to help. It's such a brilliant resource (especially for us programme editors / closet statisticians) that any way of getting it back would be worth the money! VPCT, any chance of more details?

Well after a fantastic start last season we managed to cling on to a top 6 spot until early April before slipping to 9th on the final day which was very disappointing. We were only 3 points off 5th at the end though so a top 6 finish this season has to be the aim although it will be very tough with plenty of local clubs splashing the cash once again.

We know that under Bakes we'll get attacking football, plenty of goals (at both ends, usually - two goalless draw in 4 CCL seasons) and judging by recent history a result or two that will horrify us and a few more that will delight. Last season's squad have turned up again for duty and we have added Pommers. We would love to see a repeat of the excellent unbeaten run we had last season, preferably without scudding around the wrong end of the table beforehand. Fourth place got us further in the Vase than we managed last season too, so a run in that would be a novelty. This is my hostage to fortune moment - if we finish above Chertsey we will be in the top three at least.
