ground update 31st July 2010

Recommended Posts

Well today was our last work party at Beaconsfield and nice to see Nigel (windsor rebel) down here this morning...this really helped Barry Hiron and myself get the job done..

We did a quick job on the far end of the ground , removing grass and weeds ..made it a bit tidy ! all areas have been de weeded and sweeped , and look quite respectable.

The club shop and an area of the club house was broken into this week , as sue leaves nothingin the shop, so nothing stolen ! Sue and Adian have cleared and sweeped the shop out !

mind you poor Sue and Spiders (don't Mix) ....lots of dont bring them near me was heard from the shop !

The dug outs were sweeped clean and dust removed and washed down, and new grass seeds layed in front of the dug outs...(still 2 weeks) to grow some.

The pitch looks better again this week, Lional will be marking the pitch out in the next week, and the goal posts will be re erected...all ready for the 14th Aug 2010, which is schedule to be the

first game on the new surface ... The contractors were in last Monday and have re seeded the few bare patches.

Paul Hughes has painted the changing rooms and cleaned the corridor, so final touches will be left to Beaconsfield to finish.

Our Keith Smith will also be down this week trying to strim some of the over grown areas around the outside fencing.

Thanks also to Dann and Peter Bridle our other helpers...

NEXT WEEK END 7th august 2010 - Slough Town FC day in the Town Square from 10-2.... a day to be proud to be a SLOUGH TOWN supporter..

see you there....

cheers chris sliski.... up the rebels....
