I use this site quite a lot now and really enjoy it.

However it would be good to know who you all are and what clubs you are involved with. (hard to work out on just on nicknames!)

Be good to know for future contacts and the odd pint after a game this season.

HI STEVE, I'M ''NICE GUY'' WHO HAS BEEN A FOLLOWER AND GROUD HOPPER OF NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL FOR MANY-A-YEAR. FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS, I GROUND HOPPED THE RYMANS MOSTLY DIV.1 SOUTH (CLOSER TO HOME) BUT I GOT BORED WATCHING 'HOOF'' FOOTBALL, SO LAST SEASON I CAME DOWN A LEAGUE TO START WATCHING CCL GAMES. I MUST ADMIT THE FIRST SEASON WAS VERY ENJOYABLE AND LEARNT ALOT ABOUT THE CCL, THE TEAMS, THEIR PLAYERS AND OF COURSE THE GUYS ON THIS FORUM ALSO HELPED ME IDENTIFY THE CCL IN MORE DEPTH.

 

THE GOOD THING ABOUT LAST SEASON WAS THE LEAGUE ALMOST WENT TO THE WIRE WHEREAS BEFORE, THERE WERE LEAGUE WINNERS COME JANUARY/FEBRUARY, NOW MUST HAVE BEEN BORING BEING THAT THERE ARE NO PLAY-OFFS OR SECOND PROMOTED TEAM SO THE LEAGUE WAS ALL DONE & DUSTED.........................GLAD I WASN'T AROUND THEN, SO LET''S HOPE WE GET ANOTHER CRACKING SEASON LIKE THE LAST ONE.

 

WENT TO MANY CCL GROUNDS (MOSTLY PREM) AND MET SOME REAL LOVELY GENUINE PEOPLE, CLUB MEMBERS, HELPERS AND SUPPORTERS WHO ALL DO ''THEIR'' BIT TO HELP THEIR CLUB. IT'S SO REFRESHING, AND LETS NOT FORGET THE BANTER BETWEN CLUBS, VERY ENJOYABLE !

 

SO STEVE, I'LL BE COMING TO WATCH EGHAM DURING THE SEASON, AND NO DOUBT GIVE YOU MY TEN-BOB'S WORTH LIKE I DID WHEN I LAST SAW EGHAM TOWARDS THE END OF LAST SEASON AGAINST MOLESEY WHICH I HAVE TO ADMIT WAS ONE OF THE BEST GAMES I SAW LAST SEASON.

Used to watch Hayes regularly when in conference, moved down to Surrey two years ago and watches bit of Ryman stuff at Godalming before seeing a few CCL games last season and finding myself watching more and more.

Don't really follow any one team, dislike watching a few, Canberley seem to be watched by a large number of glass empty people and Wembley is a horrible journey. Looking forward to seeing Chertsey v Badshot Lea 1st game.

You will get use to the names on here , when you are on it more and more , my name is Butts i am with Hanworth Villa in the premier of the ccl . At some stage in the past we have all met or played against each other.. Pearcey is a Big man played in goal for Ashford Town , formely with Egham, Bedfont Green( now called Bedfont Town ). Wembley, Bedfont, maybe a few others. a good keeper ,if i may say so. he will look at this and his head will swell.. haha. any way steve, good luck on here.

Shall I order a consigment of printed T-Shirts for Posters to wear at games,so we can recognise each other.Must say the People who I have met Personally who post on here,have been very knowledgeable,,friendly,and a few have even bought me a drink.But was banging my head against the wall trying to convince Russell aka VPCTFC to become a Gold Member.I enjoy Football at this level as a supporter because you get to meet some characters,but have met a few a$seholes as well.My name is Peter,live in Croydon,just love Football,and if your ever short of a Linesman,I'm your man. formely with hounslow boro in hellenic leauge where i met up with dennis bainbrough,jb bates gary hedges etc was ask to help out gary with the res last season in surburban prem we stayed up by 1pt but because of name change we will be in north div .
