I see 'Club18-93' won their first friendly at Goldsdown Road on Saturday. Interesting to read that Steve Whitington belives that Town and Enfield1893FC should share the history of the original Enfield FC!

It's all a load of hot air and correct diplomacy based on self interest and gain. Thats just how it appears to me. For 1893 to progress they are to need Money and lots of it. Not sure if they have the fan base to develop this, without knowing all their in's and out's of course. Brimsdown Rovers were a fine set up in my playing days and have died from lack of interest despite running a multitude of teams. Why should 1893+ BR together be any more prosperous. It'll be interesting to see what the next few years brings. I would still like to see both clubs merge, but accept thats now a waste of time.

How about we stop this paranoia about Club BR-E1893 . Its getting tedious and embarrassing that grown up men like you two keep on bringing up the same old codswallop week in and week out . Its done and wont be any more troubling than having to share with brimmo . Now please can we just let this go once and for all .

Its done and wont be any more troubling than having to share with brimmo . Now please can we just let this go once and for all .

On Wednesday there was a clean up day at Brimsdown I was not there but I am relaibly informed that no 1893 fans turned up to help.

 

I am also informed that many Brimsdown members dont want us there but praise 1893 for all the effort that they have put into the ground. What about the effort that ETFC have put into the ground.

 

I am also informed that the arrangements for 1893 to be tenants of Brimsdown are not clear.

 

Now when the above matters are addressed perhaps the slagging will stop.

 

BTW why were we ejected from the board room on match day? Will 1893 be treated similarly.

 

Why do not the bar receipts/asset base appear in the balance sheet or income/debts of ETFC's accounts?

Once we have taken away our stands and installed them at the QE then the 1893 tossers will have to put some money into the ground and buy some stands of their own.

We had a game on Wednesday that is why we had no one at the ground, also we have been working on the ground on and off all summer

Also the arrangements for the ground share is clear we pay the same as ETFC do to play

If you want any more info I think you should speak to your committee as they know everything that is going on

Good post Out of Towner, could not agree more, why some seem bothered about this seems very strange, the last nine seasons have been spent ground sharing with BRFC next season we will be sharing with the same club only under their new amalgamated title, who cares who turned up to do what on Weds, indeed were they even invited?

As for accounts/ground lease agreements etc I think the board will be dealing with that, again if it indeed concerns us, they have done a decent job for the past nine years long may it continue.

Get over it you lot & worry about our own club.

Well then I think your rent needs to be reviewed as the fencing, stand, toilets, dugouts etc were financed by ETFC and surely you should be paying more to use those facilities.

 

Also I asked the question, which you ommitted to reply, what boardroom do you use match days. If you use ETFC's by invitation then surely we should receive a premium for that. If you use the lounge bar why do Goldsdown holdings allow that when we were not allowed to use it? I dont mind that you do use it but again a premium needs to be paid.

 

If you are not paying a premium I think that you deserve the nickname which has been given to you by some of our supporters.

I thought I was.

 

The more rent Goldsdown Holdings get from the cuckoos the better of our club will be. I have no objection to them playing at Goldsdown but I do not understand why they are paying the same rent as us. Syrup, who seems to know these things, states that 1893 are paying the same as us. How can that be right! We hold a 50% share of Goldsdown holdings whilst the cuckoos own nothing and have put nothing, in the way of capital, into Goldsdown holdings, the ground or, as far as I am aware, Brimsdown Sports and Social Club.

 

Just because we are a fans owned club does not make us a charity.

 

The financial arrangements of Goldsdown Holdings directly relates to our future.

Further before the response is made that as a 50% owner of Goldsdon holdings we receive half of the rent from EFC. I would agree that should be the case but as I have said and Andy does agree last year Goldsdown Holdings ltd did not appear in the balance sheet either as an asset or liability. There was no income reported from Goldsdown Holdings.

 

I would be disappointed if there is no report of the worth of Goldsdown Holdings this year.
