Engineering Works

Recommended Posts

Some info from Thameslink on engineering works tomorrow...

Saturday 16th August

Due to engineering work between Elephant & Castle and Tulse Hill, Thameslink services to / from Sutton will be revised. Services to / from Luton will be diverted to start / terminate at Moorgate. Services to / from Sutton will start / terminate at London Bridge and run to Streatham via Sutton and Wimbledon. No Thameslink services will operate between Tulse Hill and Sutton (via Mitcham Junction). Replacement bus services will operate between Tulse Hill, Herne Hill, Loughborough Junction, Elephant & Castle and Blackfriars.

Hope you all understand it!!

So basically the bit of line we need is going to be completely closed tomorrow? It's all very well bus services operating between Tulse hill, herne hill etc. but we need one that operates between Tulse hill and Carshalton.

What a great way to start the season

Personally I would do this:

St Albans to London Bridge (Thameslink)

London Bridge to Sutton (South Central)

Sutton to Carshalton (South Central)

Takes about 1 hour and a half. Every half hour from 12:04 onwards.

Or, if you fancy, train to Blackfriars then tube to Victoria and get on the train to Carshalton from there.
