Some very sad news

It is with a very heart that I have to inform you that Nobby Johnson of Great Wakering passed away yesterday.

 

This man was a true gentleman and will be very sorely missed by everyone at GWR and in local football.

 

I personally have many very fond memories of the great man and I would like to pass on my condolences to all of his family and to many of my remaining friends at GWR

I believe for all the people that have known Nobby over the years yesterday was a sad day.It's like if one member of our family has left us.Lost for words lads.

I would like to send my condolences to Nobby's family and friends.

 

I had known Nobby since I was 13 years old, first meeting him through Priory Athletic FC, continuing our association through Southend Utd and then Great Wakering Rovers FC.

 

I would like to echo the sentiments expressed by others in this thread; Nobby was a diamond and it would be hard to find a nicer man.
