Conference North and South

For the benefit of those who have not visited the other site...

I've been doing a few calculations this morning about who will be in the new Conference divisions.

It's based on the given criterea and assumes the odds given by SkyBet accurately reflect the positions attained by each club.

The divide between North and South has then been applied by geographic position...

NORTH:

Barrow

Northwich Victoria

Stalybridge

Vauxhall Motors

Worksop

Harrogate Town

Bradford PA

Burscough

Wakefield & Emley

Hucknall

Alfreton

Altrincham

Droylsden

Gainsborough

Stafford

Worcester

Grantham

Kettering

Bedford Town

Bishops Stortford

Braintree

St Albans

SOUTH:

Kingstonian

Hornchurch

Basingstoke

Grays

Hayes

Hendon

Sutton Utd

Thurrock FC

Billericay

Chippenham

Tiverton

Newport County

Welling

Chelmsford

Dorchester

Eastbourne

Havant

Crawley

Weymouth

Dover

Farnborough Town

Gravesend

As you can see, we fall in the Northern section. Is everyone still keen on the idea? Has Gibbo and the board considered this possibility?

I don't think that Herts blue "runs the club" Laz, although he is, clearly, a Pretty Important Person.

I'm impressed with your effort and work-rate there, Tone, but if you had asked me to work it out, I would have phoned the chap who used to drive the red tractor and asked him in the sure and certain knowledge that he would have done the calculations already. That's the sort of thing that these people do, for Heaven's sake.

I don't want to take anything away from you here, Laz, but I did make a point when the 're-organisation' was first drafted that St. Albans is a little far North to be certain of being in the South if you see what I mean. The Board would have worked out the possibilities, too, no doubt.

AFF, you seem to have a lot of confidence in them. I think the general assumption is that St Albans is in the South and therefore they will play in the southern section. There's no reason those in command would not have jumped to the same concusion.

I'd like to see what they have to say.

I wonder if Bedford have considered this. They are a few clubs further north than us. But then who cares.
