Ground update -sat 24th July 2010

- The pitch Looks a lot better again this week , lots of effort to get the water on the pitch...but still some bare patches - which should receive some more seeding this coming Monday...

 

-The Beaconsfield scouts (approx 15 persons) were on their hands and knees , scouring the grass for loose stones, as when the surface was scalped , this brought some stones

to the surface and these need to be removed.

 

-I spoke with Fred Dinas (The Beconsfield President/Chairman) he gave an update that the new toilet block should be started on some time before December, they are still awaiting

South Bucks to formally approve them, plus awaiting some funding from various football authorities to start on some covering. (watch this space)

 

- The floodlights look good and I am told really make a huge difference..

 

-The spectator areas , except the area behind the far goal have now all been sweeped and cleared of weeds ...we have next saturday to make a start on the final section, because

the following sat 7th August , a few of us will be in the high street from 10am until 2pm , promoting our football club.

again any helpers...let me know ...leave your message on this message board so I can get an Idea of the helpers.

Passed SYCOB tonight on way back from Flackwell and saw the floodlights on - are they playing on the pitch already - is it ready to play on?

Thats good then maybe a few of you might know where Beaconsfield is these days !

 

just maybe a few could turn up this saturday and help us finish the bottom end of the ground ... well it is on the way to Amersham ...so It would

 

be so easy to come down here first ... wouldn't it ???

 

or does your map reading start on the 14th of August 2010..

Show concern for the pitch and get your head bitten off - I wonder why so few turn up on Saturdays?

Our supporter's remit from about 10 weeks ago and more , was to tidy and sweep clean up the spectator areas..nothing more and nothing less ...to make

it nicer for our supporters....
