Why is that?

Well because PC Harwood was just doing his job, okay he was a little over zealous with Tomlinson but it was the G20 Summit at the end of the day and tensions were running high!

 

The test for the jury will be - did his actions lead to Mr Tomlinson's death, yes or no. I think that he should be found guilty bot the judge should give him a suspended sentence.

he didn't mean to kill the bloke,the bloke was obviously being a nuisance and to be honest i have seen police do far worse.

It was an unfortunate ACCIDENT not aimed at anyone losing their life and it was in an intensely vicious atmosphere

I think the above post says it all which is why I'm sure 'scapegoat' PC Harwood will get off with a slap on the wrist, anything worse than that will be unjust!

 

Why is making an unprovoked attack an accident or justifiable?

 

Last time I checked the statute book it was against the law.

Hookey - Well exactly so why does poor PC Harwood have to carry the can. It's exactly the same as the Policeman who shot Jean Charles de Menezes at Stockwell tube station in 2005, Menezes asked for what he got due to the way he was behaving!

 

 

PC Harwood is not carrying the can, his actions was at least partly responsible for an innocent mans death and quite rightly he has been charged with manslaughter, because justice has to be seen to be done.

 

Jean Charles de Meneze was running to catch a train, surely your not suggesting that is the kind of behavior that warrants being killed by our taxpayer funded police force.

Jean Charles de menzes family said he didn't understand English which is why he didn't respond to police shouting STOP very loudly.Funny how people who spend over a year in this country always claim to have no command of the English language.

In that current time,just after 40 plus people had lost their lives due to bombings on the railway I think a bloke who was obviously not of english origin,ignoring police with a rucksack on his back running through a tube station in central London at rush hour could be considered a reasonable threat

Various witnesses have suggested that the police never shouted "stop", and even if they did, De Menzes could be forgiven for thinking they were talking to another person as he was an innocent man just getting on with his life.

 

We in this country enjoy the financial benefits created by the millions of tourists that visit the UK every year. To suggest that any one of them that is obviously not of English origin, have a rucksack on their back, and had been running, and it is therefore acceptable for the police to shoot them dead is ridiculous beyond belief.

most peculiar isnt it how so many of these 'victims' tend to be of a similiar 'type'-De Menzes,cocaine addicted illegal immigrant,Tomlinson,alcoholic,homeless father of nine kids,some people may say that its hardy a tragedy that they have been removed from the gene pool.Great to see the Tomlinson family so supportive of the campaign to get him 'justice',that of course is the same family who disowned him years ago,a cynic might suggest that they have 'smelt a pound note'.

Ah but PC Harwood didn't know of Ian Tomlinson's situation or background, it's not like he selected him for such treatment. For all he knew, he could have simply been a new dad or Granddad wetting his newborn's head with some workmates.

i think you will find it takes a certain 'type' to decide to walk in front of policemen during a violent demonstration in a surly manner,pi ssed up with their hands in their pockets,Tomlinson was 'playing up', sorry i find it hard to feel much sympathy for this poor 'victim'.
