Pity we couldn't entertain Southampton (at Sutton) or Canvey Island who amazingly are playing Dutch Champions Twente Enschede. How did they pull that one off?

Whilst I know what you mean JJ ... it would be nice to have an attractive PSF .... but (for example) last season we played Carlisle United (who fielded a pretty strong team) at HDP - and lost 6-0. That didn't help us prepare for the season ahead as, after all, Carlisle were expected to win, as such - how can a Manager assess the team & trialists when they're chasing the game against full time pros? It didn't attract a large crowd ... so in the end was an unproductive game for us.

Any feedback on the trialists is always useful.

Nice to start with a clean sheet whoever we are playing against, and overall friendly or whatever-seems a good result to me

Was there a 'reserve/trialist goalkeeper out there.

Noticeble that despite IOC declaring that he won't pay many games-JK statred the game-does that emphasise the paucity of resources in central midfield?

Could someone let me know how Kane Harrington did please

Came on late in second half Pagey & went straight in at right full back. Did okay as did all those that replaced the original line up. Nothing of great note from him though but as I said wasn't on for long enough really to get a real good look at him but as I said,he did okay.

Is it not likely that krunic will be available as sub keeper ?(and worst way-you can normallly get a goalie on loan quite quick in an emergency)

Of more concern to me is the lack of central first team midfield players. We only seem to have wilson and saunders, and you need 3 minimum and really 4 to cover injuries/suspension.

still -4 weeks to go just the same

Samson King came on in the second half Michael & looked useful on the day.I'm sure there must be a spot for him in there somewhere.Easy passing & generally ran the midfield after those before him had departed to the sidelines.

Intersting-when he played a couple of games a few months back-i think he was described as a defender who can also play as a striker. So he was in midfield yesterday ?

Obviously there is no end to his talents.

Despite his wonder/fluke goal-never really impressed me as a striker- but if he is a genuine utility player-could be a very useful addition ?
