Last Monday Mick Marsden (manager) resigns, and a post appears on this site within hours.......

This Monday Tony Wallace (chairman) resigns, do we have to wait untill the Recorder comes out to be told???????

I can see the way that this is going and it will be stopped in due course.

 

However, I will answer your question. At a board meeting on Monday evening, Tony Wallace resigned as club Chairman. The reason that Tony gave for his resignation was that he felt he had become peripheral to matters at the club, and felt therefore that he could no longer assist the club. He also felt that the club had changed beyond all recognition and expressed the view that he would be happier elsewhere in non league football.

 

Tony first brought this issue to the Boards attention several months ago. At that time he also expressed a desire to leave for pastures new as he felt that he had done all he could for the club.

 

The reason Tony's resignation was not posted on here was because it was agreed at that meeting by all present (and minuted) that a press release would be given to the Romford Recorder for publication on Friday.

 

There were four people at that meeting including Tony so....

 

not much confidentiality there then.!!

 

In any event the Board wish Tony Wallace all the best for the future.

don't worry Urchino...they're not going to get anywhere...its either one person or a couple of them at most....very bitter as well...ther have no standing mate and never will have...people like that never do...

 

funniest thing is they seem to think that they've uncovered some sort of worldwide scandal....

I am sure that once Saturday arrives people will be consumed by the footballing side of things. Sometimes your damned if you do and damned if you dont
