Good home start by the lads against a first choice Bradford City.

 

Thought Healsey done well and our passing and movement looked good for this stage of the pre season

 

James Russell was execellent as usual, 3 top saves.

 

No Wardy, Leon Gordon and Matt Game tonight so its good they have to come in.

 

A decent crowd also and it felt very positive

 

Tougher game to come on Saturday against FC Twente, great coup for us though!

Thought we played with great shape and width at times, Danny Heale was particularly pleasing to watch and give it a few games he'll really be linking up well with Rowe and Hallett.

 

As I expected we're experimenting and adapting to a new formation, which for me, the jury is still out on and it will be interesting to see if anyone comes in to replace Cohen once he departs.

 

I'm really looking forward to seeing Matt Game in action, I think he could give us something extra in the middle that we missed in the second-half last night having had Dobbo and Edwards go off.

 

With key players like Wardy and Game back in the starting eleven, having everyone fit will give us great options to come off the bench too.

 

Lastly, the new kit is growing on me, didn't think much of the shirt on it's own but with the blue shorts too it's looking good. Think I may have to treat myself to the new away one on Saturday.

why did you kick off at 7pm rather than usual 745? you would have probably had another 100 with a more sensible KO time. I would certainly have come!!

I would imagine it was at Bradford's request, all of their friendlies are 7pm ko.

Bradford indeed requested an early KO, all there midweek pre season games have started at this time so far.

 

I would expected a much bigger turnout on Saturday against FC Twente

 

Good to see Mr Tilson at the game last night, we may see alot more of him at the Brockell Stadium whilst he is on Gardening leave
