Can anyone tell me what's wrong with these Ridgeons people when they play an ESL side?They go gloating about signing 7 players called so and so in Non League Daily and when they struggle against a side that is still running the rule over a squad of 30 plus and playing their second friendly,they make excuses saying they were missing key players!!!Hide,Owen,Jennings,Deacon,Dennett and Welton all played plus the replacement(Ribchester) for the only signing missing scored 2 goals!!!We played 25 players and gave a run to "cani e porci" and still managed to give them more than a game,actually the result flattered them big time!They only took 16 players and if we would have done the same they would have got a big hiding!Flipping heck,no surprise Basildon kicked the lamps out of them!!!End of the fecking rant!How I hate that air of superiority from those big time Charlies!!Please lads make sure an ESL side reaches FA Vase final this year so we'll shut those [****!!****] up!!!

The ridgeons league is alot stronger than

the esl coach,not knocking the esl but I think it will be a long time before one of their clubs gets near winning the vase,there's simply too many clubs in Essex/east London areas for the talent to filter that far down like it does in the ridgeons

I'm not really arguing that,it's just they get on my nerves.We played quite a few of those teams over the years and everytime we win or draw against them they simply make all sort of excuses in their match reports or in the paper.They were moaning about Basildon kicking them but hey I can see why and having said that ours wasn't a dirty game!!The advantage they got is they are based in an area where there are some big rural towns and not many clubs higher than them in the Pyramid plus only 2-3 pro clubs.They must have a bit of money this year that lot.

When we was in the esl,and ryman one north we struggled against ridgeons clubs and we won both of the respective leagues at a canter,I would say the top ridgeons league is probably better than ryman one north,if not

it's on a par with it

take away Norwich, Ipswich,Colchester,Cambridge united,bury,Sudbury,Lowestoft you are then down to the ridgeons league sides

 

in our area before you get to esl you have chelmo,Hornchurch,west ham,orient,dagenham,grays,billericay,aveley,Romford,redbridge,Harlow,Braintree,southend,canvey,gt wakering,maldon,heybridge,Brentwood, east Thurrock,Thurrock,tilbury,concord,stortford to name a few

that's alot of teams with alot of players and I've probably missed a few out

its alright saying that Hadleigh are the only team for miles around which is true but no one lives around there,Basildon and Hornchurch are surrounded by other clubs but also have acess to hundred of thousands of people,Eastern Counties is far superior to ESL for obvious reasons.
