hello again. so this is were the results are found. we know the cranfield score and they were very unlucky not to win.

that 7.2 game looks a good game thouhg i dont know either team.

can some one help me as i have looked in the atlas but can not find some teams on there.

sun post sport. which place are they from as i can not find it.

london lion are they playing in london and what part is it

why was no division 2 scores on here from yestreday

if some one can help as i do not know nthe answers.

A, shall we say, interesting report on this one from another's Forum, I'm surprised only 35 were in attendance for the Gosling Sports Centre curtain raiser:

Despite giving myself 4 hours to get to Rothwell Corinthians or Stewarts and Lloyd Corby i settled for Hatfield Town as the M25 turned itself into a giant car park. At 1.45 i had only reached Jnc 9 on the M1 with traffic reports indicating hold ups on the M1 i turned round and headed for Gosling Sports Centre in Welwyn Garden City where Hatfield Town now play. In fact according to their programme they played here in the early 1990's so some of the forums posters may well have been here in the past. The ground has a 6 lane athletics track and a cycle track around the pitch. Viewing is from a a large run down stand but more than adequate for todays crowd. Though if you wish to use the toilets bring a torch as there was no lighting at all in them !! Also no refeeshments either inside though i assume some were available inside the Lesiure Centre. The game was dominated by Chalfont in the first half with them going in 3-0 at half time, the last goal on the stroke of half time was acracking 30 yarder. The second half was more even with Hatfield scoring a consolation in the 7 minutes of added time.

 

at least double the 35 attendance stated! probably nearer 100 all in all. the light switch in the toilet must have been switched off, probably to save electricity, easiest thing is to turn it back on.....

Was a decent opening game, Chalfont are a top side,dont mind a scream and a moan now and then, we didnt play badly, no excuses but had 9 players out for various reasons. Sloppy goals given away and we had chances in the 2nd half to make it interesting. Roll on Biggleswade on Tuesday back at Gosling. Come and have a look Rhodes...........

hello again. i read some things on here and that man said sign who up for padbury. did he mean my boy because he would want to play for brache or tottenhowe so we can get a bus to the ground.

did no one no were the sun sport team played because it is not in my atlas. what about the london team were in london do they play as i could get a train there one day to watch them. what was the division 2 scores from the other day, who has them.?

... can't comment about who for or where to go and play BUT practically anything you need to know about the league and its member clubs is probably to be found on:

... you cannot presume a team name will have anything to do with where they play - especially with so many 'groundshares' going on at tthis level.

 

London Lions (formerly Maccabi Lions ?) are currently 'lodging' at Broxbourne Borough's ground

Sun Postal Sports are based a shade north of Watford Underground station - off of Cassiobury Drive - which is right off of the Hempstead Rd A411 heading south into the Town.

absolutely BUZZIN for this season already!! Opening day win with 9 men (sendings off aside, a superb start), victory against Royston in the Cup last week, and pre season victories against higher ranked opposition, including Hertford and St Mugs (only friendlies but a wins a win). New manager, new backroom team and new signings. Heres hoping automatic promotion is on the cards, followed by a swift two fingers stuck up at the League for moving the goalposts for the last 3 years!!!

Whether the goalposts have been moved or not Jonno, it will always be far more satisfying winning promotion on merit rather than on technicalities. Looks like Hoddy will be the team to beat this year & wouldn't it be great if we could rub Rhodesey's nose in it for another shocking mis-judgement ?
