St Albans City manager Steve Cook has had his plans hit by the non arrival of West Ham United for a friendly, which in turn has led to a cut in the available money at Clarence Park. This in turn meant that four players had to be released.

Having said that quality players have been added to the squad in striker Nic McDonnell, midfielder Mark Graham as well as former Manchester United player Graeme Tomlinson. AS a result St Albans should be able to challenge at the top of the table, and a top three finish is well within their grasp.
