The cancelled Palace game

Just read the notice on Slough's website about the Crystal Palace game being cancelled. Is this because our pitch isn't ready to play on?

A great shame,as I'd heard from a number of people who intended to go to that game,especially as we hadn't played anyone of that calibre for quite sometime.Although it did appear that it wouldn't have been Palace's first team anyway.

 

I hope next year we manage to get some high profile friendlies fixed up before we're totally forgotten about by the youngsters in the population of Slough,who might not know of our existence,as it's been such a long time since we were in our town and most of our support seems to be getting older.I know the Trust are taking inituatives in this area ie inviting schools to matches,youth team etc but what raises our profile most? Playing top opposition that's what.

Let's hope we have a decent run in the FA Cup this year !
