Apparantly some think they can get between 375-500

this from a team who are playing 10 miles from home and couldn't muster that level of support in the conference last season, good luck to them if they can hit the magical 500 mark but somehow I doubt it

No chance of them getting 500 especially if they're not playing in Grays.

They'll get 300 at best.

I have been known to exagerate with regards to rival fans quotations, personally I think clubs and fans alike need to be veryconservatubr in there first season otherwise they could quite easily overspend,I am sure the people running grays now are aware of this anyway.for the first few home matches I an sure you will get well over 250 but If you can get that amount of people travelling from grays all season then you would of done very well indeed

I'd love to give a damn but I really don't. Grays won't be getting anywhere near the 500 one of their fans suggested.

We found last season that even when the results were going well, we weren't pulling in more fans through the gate.

The recession is still biting and some people are choosing not to spend their spare cash watching football at non-league level when Sky are serving up Premiership games most days of the week.

Grays are still alive - that should be the important thing as far as their fans are concerned.

I think maybe one or two of those fans may need a reality check though.

Difficult for all non-league teams at the moment.

Disagree about the 300 lost,we was getting similar gates in the esl as we were in conni south,we had a couple of good gates early on that season but against the likes of Basingstoke etc I think we was only getting 500,they tended to drift off more in our second year in the ryman

400 would be very good but I still think a club in this area and league could get 500 plus every week if marketed properly,I am meeting someone from the marketing dept of the recorder on Thursday about the posters,to go through it with them,I think what with the couple of pre season fixtures we have lined up they can see it would benefit them as much as it would us to jump on board
