ENFIELD SUSPENDED BY RYMAN LEAGUE

Ryman League Division One North club Enfield have been suspended by the league due to problems with their groundshare agreement with Boreham Wood.

 

Enfield announced that due to 'unresolved differences' with Boreham Wood, the ground-sharing agreement for 2003/04 has been revoked.

 

A statement from the club read: "Consequently, Enfield have been suspended by the Ryman League with immediate effect until alternative arrangements are in place.

 

"Enfield FC would like to assure all Supporters' that every effort is being made to enable a speedy resolution and apologise to anyone who may be affected by this."

Not only that, one of the local papers has reported on how much Mr Lazarou was fined by the FA, after his recent appearance before them.

Well Enfield Town FC won the ESL and will have a ground close to Ryman B needs by end of August 2003 - Probably the only reason Enfield FC held out this long was to ensure we didn't replace them at the last minute in the Ryman. Ah well that is life.

Enfield Town replacing Enfield was never an option, the timescale for haveing the ground ready was a couple of months ago. This season I am sure your ground will be ready but this is going to be the fiercest ESL ever with quite a few clubs with their eye on promotion.

I make you right Phoenix....I also believe it will be the best title race in years.....A few years ago I remember when Saffron Walden won it on goal difference from Southen Manor and Burnham Ramblers......

Maybe not that tight but it will be bloody close...

In my opinion the title will be won on cold january nights away to the likes of Sawbo and Concord.....

And of course against the teams that are up there....

The other thing to take into accout is will the Ryman League be there for you to get promoted into it may be Southern League East with a differant set of Grading and Ground Shairing rules.
