That's an interesting result !

 

Egham are in the CCL Prem with us !

 

I was not able to see the game but one of the other (handful of) Egham regulars said we were crepe and that the result and performance were real eye openers! I have seen us not being too clever against Staines Lammas and Frimley Green, but both games (both of which we won, 2-0 and 2-1) were played on second choice, fourth rate pitches at Egham Leisure Centre and Bisley FC respectively. We also played another Pagham v Egham game and apparently won 3-2, some new guy getting two for us, one of which was a 30 yard screamer. Whoever he is I hope he is still with us when the season starts. We have not had anyone who can regularly score from outside the box for absolutely ages. We also lost to a Tooting & Mitcham side made up of triallists and reserves, and played very well in the first half but lost to a stunning solo run and decent finish, and somehow managed to lose 3-4 at home to Knaphill, who look decent enough but are the sort of team we were thumping last season.

There's that dirty word 'money' again !!

 

Here's a good question.

 

Do clubs that 'pay' good money actually inform the Inland Revenue ? They're supposed too !!

Absolutely...............not.Maybe the new government will get on it as they try to close all of the fraud loopholes.

I wonder how many players are signing on and getting paid for playing football? :mad:
