saturday 18th July - update

This update is from Beaconsfield... for Saturday 18th July

 

the work parties are continuing ..thanks to those who have helped so far this season...much appreciated ... 2/3rds of the spectator areas have been cleared and weeded and swept clean.

 

I hope a few that have strimmer (petrol ones will be able to come along and clear some of the overgrown weeds outsdie the perimeter of the fencing.

 

the extra pylons and floodlights have been installed and testing will begin next week... (look good)

 

the pitch looks a lot better today - the rain has helped and the ground was receiving attention from the contractors , ensuring the sprinkler system wase working and

 

also buliding up a few areas that had sunk !

 

the grounds men now will try to re seed the areas that are bare and hopful another 4 weeks, we will see a maked improvement..

 

the area just off the pitch needs some attention as there are a lot of stones around (the scouts were due in today to help clear the pitch of stones but failed to turn up...

TODAY is SUNDAY 18th.

 

I should know, as it's 'Er Indoors' birthday !

Petrol driven strimmers needed ...for the next few weeks .... any offers ?

 

work party starts about 10am ...please please come down and help us finish the clearing up...
