Just thought that I would drop a line to wish you good luck for the coming season.

 

As an Aldershot fan I always enjoyed our games and on the whole thought that the fans got on well.

 

I for one would love to see you promoted this year so our rivalry may be continued.

 

The conference is great - we are making new friends and the standard of football is higher.

 

All the best and hopefully see you next season.

i'd love us to be promoted as well.. but seeing as your joint top of the league if we make the conf will you still be there?

i liked the shots games.. aaldershot are a proper football club and i hope you get back into the league soon maybe even this season ;-)

Joint top maybe. I for one will still be happy if come the end of the season we are not in the bottom three!

 

Don't get me wrong, I think we will do well, but the standard of football is higher, which is to our advantage in some ways, better playing field etc, but also with the physical side. We will have to get fitter as the season goes on. Last night towards the end you could see Margate were fitter. Still, they had an extra day to recover since the weekend.

 

I think this season would be too soon for us to go up. Give it a couple of seasons and then push for the big-time.

if you make the playoffs it will be fantastic.. i felt the atmosphere at park lane and hung around at the death to watch it.. sure i was pissed off but it was still a special night.. i agree with pabird, losing borg made all the difference..he did a good job to get you to the ryman prem and im sure it was a fun trip but the difference after the change was huge.. i think your easily safe at mid table but if your in the frame you have some huge games to look forward too

I had a son in the squad when they went tits up as a league club and the atmosphere in that last season was a gold medal job for every supporter

There is no reason they should not emulate the diamonds and go on given the time to steady the ship and reform at each new level

for sure.. if they stay in the conf for next season they will seem like old hands rather than new boys or upstarts..and become a chester type club where achieving league status is only a matter of time.. aldershot in ryman 2 n 3 seems laughable already
