Playing Away

Can I make a suggestion as something just crossed my mind whilst thinking about going to Brentwood tomorrow ?

I think it would be nice if we could see the team wearing their home blue shirts as often as possible at away games this season as opposed to the "trendy" practice of the pro-teams who change at the drop of a hat, often when totally unecessary. This seems to have crept in at our level and I feel it just takes an edge off the atmosphere when you go to somewhere like Canvey who wear yellow, all decked out in yer Ricay Blue, hoping for a rip-roaring local derby, only to find the lads running out in white :-(

There may be a league ruling I am unaware of (or even a laundry issue!) but surely when we go to teams who wear red or yellow or maroon or amber or any form of stripes/halves/quarters not involving blue,we could wear our home strip ? Green under iffy floodlights I can understand the white being opted for but let's see The Blues IN BLUE as often as possible for the start of our next era and hear more hearty cries of "Blue Army" and "Come on You Blues" in the next few months on the road.

It's only a small thing maybe, but as Mr Tesco knows - "every little helps" !

See y'all at the arena !
