Grays admitted to Division One North

AT A meeting at Wembley Stadium today (Thursday July 15) the League has reached an agreement with Grays Athletic FC and East Thurrock United FC for Grays Athletic to play at East Thurrock's ground for the next 2 seasons.

 

Consequently the League has agreed to admit Grays Athletic to Division One North of the Ryman League for next season.

 

This agreement is subject to certain conditions one of which is the approval of the FA Leagues Committee which meets tomorrow afternoon. Subject to that approval the fixtures for the Premier Division will be issued at 5pm tomorrow. The fixtures for the Step 4 divisions will be issued as soon as possible next week.

well thats not going to help our promotion opportunities is it.

 

Why??

Because its one more excuse to add to the many . WE DIDN'T WIN THE LEAGUE BECAUSE WE PLAYED TOO MANY GAMES.:icon29:

If we have to play 44 games then so does everyone else, it's an even playing field. If anything we get an extra fixture at home thus an extra home gate as well as an extra 6 pts. But what a mess Gray's are in, from conference to RLD1, a bit like Canvey a few years back. At least our Enfield were relegated season by season on merit.
