Haywards Heath Town 0 vs 2 Horley Town

 

The first game of the new season saw Town play Sussex Division Three side Haywards Heath Town away at the Hanbury Stadium. Our new manager had a team out with a mixture of old and new. The first half saw both sides get the ball down and try to play some football. Town had several good chances but it was nil nil at half time. A minute into the second half Mark Gilbert crossed to Toby Gilbert who fired his header home to put Town up one nil. Town again played some good football but they had to wait till the 89th minute before scoreing goal number two. This time John Eldred crossed and again Toby Gilbert was on the end to make it two nil to Town.

The jist of it was that it was a trialiast match for both sides.. Decent work out and jurges played 1/2 and mark rouse played 1/2. Clean sheet for jurges!
