Superb result and performance against a side that came so close to gaining promotion to the Ryman league.

 

Were missing a few players tonight as well but those that came in were immense

Another great result Nigel,Div 1 should be a stroll,when you get a full squad together.So that only leaves 1 place left for the rest to play for,Knaphill,Westfield,and one other.

Ha ha - we're under no illusions at all. We needed to improve drastically just to compete- the last two seasons have been woeful for a club of our history. Before the enforced demotion Westfield were always a top half Combined County Premier side.

Whilst we will improve everyone else wil as well- Knaphill will be stronger as will Frimley Green - Cobham Hartley Wintney etc the list is endless... It's far harder to get out promotion from div 1 than it is to stay in the Premier league. thats a fact in my opinion and i'm sure a lot will agree.

These are just friendlies. The hardwork hasnt even started yet

Was actually there today and Westfield did look quite strong. Wasn't a great game but friendlies are never normally classics. Westfield looked very organised and the little number 10 up front looked lively but they seem to lack one or two ball players. Also if the goalkeeper is first choice then Westfield could do with a new keeper. Looked hesitent and missed a number of crosses but who am i to critisize. Being a keeper is like being a ref. you get all the abuse and very little praise.
