"Billericay have seen a change of manager this summer with former Tottenham Hotspur and Portsmouth defender Justin Edinburgh taking over from Gary Calder. The wage budget at New Lodge was cut during last season, which meant a number of experienced players left the club. On top of that both Ollie Adedeji and Richard Graham left during the summer.

 

The incoming players have come predominately from the lower divisions apart from striker Danny Hockton from Crawley Town and midfielder Leon Hunter from Heybridge Swifts. Unfortunately the lack of experience may well mean that the club miss out on automatic qualification for the new regional conference, although do not discount them qualifying via the play offs.
