It appears the FA are demonstrating their inconsistency again. It seems Grays will enter the FA Cup at the First Qualifying Round stage (like other Level 3 clubs) and they have been put in to the FA Trophy NOT the FA Vase. If they end up in the ESL how can they play in the FA Trophy? Bizarre.

The draw was made several days ago - prior to the decision on Grays.

 

Obviously now they will not be able to compete as it would be against rules - therefore anyone due to play them would get a walkover.

 

Or that is my understanding of the rules.
