Raoul Moat

Recommended Posts

Buzzardboy - Actually I beg to differ with your view. Moat's 39 year old brother is a respected family man and a tax inspector so it's not that he's an unemployed layabout, he is genuinely mortified about what has happened to his beloved brother Raoul and stated that 'he felt absolutely powerless as broadcasters relayed blow by blow accounts of the six hour stand off'. He went on to say 'you've got this constant round the clock rolling news, it's like they were delighting in working up to this public execution in modern day Britain of my little brother'.

I understand that the floral tributes outside Moat's Newcastle home as well as the spot where he died now resemble that of Kensington Palace when Princess Diana died, that just about says it all doesn't it!

Yes,it just about says it all regarding the people of Britain nowadays,I reckon 75% of those floral tributes are from people who never met the bloke.

Let's face it,the bloke shot a few people and while I do have a small amount of sympathy with his plight he Is still a killer and shouldn't be glorified.

With regards to his brother, you heard nothing from him until after raouls death, even people with jobs want more,I just reckon he is after a quick buck

Can't be arsed with the rest of the crap you spout Rhodesly, but have to admit this made me chuckle.

Mr Rhodes,I don't believe even you believe some of the rubbish you post on this forum. All these crocodile tears shed for a cold blooded psychopathic killer, and not one word of symphony for the guy he murdered, the partner he shot, and the poor policeman who could be blinded for life thanks to the actions of a man who you seem to hero worship.

How would you feel if a member of your family had been murdered by your latest hero.

If some good could come out of this tragedy it would be that the right wing government you support got tough on people that carried fire arms, but in the unlikely event that they did I suppose you would be bleating about taking away every nutters human right to carry a gun and cause mayhem at will.

Loosely - What is this a picture of exactly, are you saying it is Raoul Moat's Newcastle home as if so it must have been taken just five or ten minutes after he died

If you've seen a picture with more than 30 to 50 bunches of forlorn petrol station offerings then post it, the photo was found here - http://www.mirror.co...15875-22408003/

But here is an update from the BBC -

post-5698-014687200 1279004716_thumb.jpg found here - http://news.bbc.co.u...000/8811495.stm

And here is what your favourite news in pictures comic has to say and the "close resemblance to Kensington Palace"-

Sick support for killer - http://www.thesun.co...Raoul-Moat.html where the "shrine" resembles that of an accident on the A23 where perhaps a pissed and high teenager managed to kill himself and 3 or 4 other friends. Hardly the scene you like to portray is it?

Loosely - Why are you so hell bent on admonishing Raoul Moat, what has the poor bloke ever done to you. At the end of the day the 'trigger happy' Police 'murdered' Moat and will no doubt pay the price for their actions following the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) enquiry that is taking place 'as we speak'.

Don't be such a muppet Rhodesly, I'm taking you to task for your constant hyperbole, your endless exaggeration. I'm not interested in your sick hero worship of Raoul Moat.

Show us how a few bunches of flowers laid at his house and place of death by genuine family and friends and the twisted crazies compares even remotely with the scenes at Kensington Palace following Diana's death or shut the F*ck up.

Loosely - Why the aggressive manor and expletives, surely that's not necessary. I merely pointed out that I was led to believe floral tributes left outside Moat's Newcastle home, as well as the spot where he sadly died, resembled that of Kensington Palace when Princess Diana died, if the tributes are slightly less than that surely it's neither here nor there and not worth getting out of your pram over!

Rhodesly - so you admit that you were wrong then? Crikey. thats a turn up but I'm sure that everyone will be pleased to see this new leaf you have turned over.

If it's taken a bit of robust language then surely thats a small price to pay to see your abject apology, but believe me, its been no trouble - its always a pleasure to put you in your place. Pip pip!

Listening today, that the police officer, that Moat shot, has been blinded, in fact, one of he eyes, blown out of his face, and no doubt sickening injuries he is quoted as saying " as i saw his cold steely eyes,.. i thought i was gonna die" (he may wish he had), im sadden that some people are feeling sorry for Moat, i wont, never will , dont forget he killed one, blinded an inocent police officer, and left him with horrific injuries, and injured his former girlfriend, not sure of her injuries-.. i wont dwell on gossip, ie,... he was a wife beater, he was hounded by the cops, etc... and cos the reporters got info wrong on him, he then decides apparently wanted to shoot a reporter, clearly an unbalanced mind, tragic as the effects of what went on ... it doesnt give him the right to take up arms,..he apparently was offered help but refused,... so the outcome should be of no surprise, ..it was a case of when not if,..24 roll over news today should not of been surprising that it would get on camera his demise, (after all it took apparently a 6 hour standoff, ,..so giving tv companys time to get to the spot,...and even thou i didnt see this bit of film, im sure it was not that graphic,..the police are never winners in these incidences,.. it must of been difficult, as especally many were NOT from that area, so thay not gonna find a man who did, and with a public, (who at first were on Moats side not helping either, i understand to date several arrests have been made, and more will follow...............

I responded to Loosely's post yesterday but it wasn't put up for some unknown reason. Contrary to what Loosely said about a few bunches of dog eared service station and Dev Alahan corner shop flowers placed outside Moat's Newcastle home and the place he sadly died, according to The Sun both locations are 'a shrine' and 'awash' with floral and written tributes such as 'a tormented mind, now at peace, God bless', 'Mr Moat, totally understand your feelings, God bless' and 'Always Remembered' to name just three. Furthermore almost 30,000 people have joined a Facebook tribute entitled 'RIP Raoul Moat You Legend', surely all these people can't be wrong about a so called murderer can they.

And yet you still offer no evidence for these scenes "awash" with floral tributes, comparing them (half a dozen bunches at the "scene of Moats death, 50ish at his former house) with the public outpouring of grief following the death of Diana Princess of Wales.

It's ok Rhodes, we know you have no sympathy for the victims and that your agenda is to blame the police for the death of Moat who knew he'd face prison as punishment but instead took the cowards way out.

Loosely - You're obviously not a Sun reader then but if you can bear to part with just 20p each week day then you would have your evidence

So no evidence then. Not surprised really.Thought it would be interesting to take a look at the so called hero worshipping facebook page that you promote. - Seems that not all joiners agree with the founders opinions.

"Their only 'faith' is in celebrity, however grotesque, as in the case of Moat, that celebrity might be. So they congregate on the internet, which allows them the vicarious thrill of seeing their names (or nicknames) and faces 'published' - giving even the hopeless (in their own minds at least) a bizarre form of fame.

As the tributes to Raoul Moat show, these people cannot read or write or express even the most basic thought coherently without foul language - and yet the internet makes them feel they have a divine right to be heard. In this way, the internet becomes a means for hatred to be sown unchecked."

Loosely - Well that's rich coming from you, you're one of these people who embrace modern technology and, in particular, the internet and everything it stands for. Cast your mind back to the good old days before we had computers and mobile phones, wasn't the World a much better place.

I don't understand your comment Rhodesly, no-one is saying that the internet is bad or that you shouldn't use it. It's like anything, say guns. They say that it's not guns that kill but the idiots using them. So the internet is not responsible but idiots like you, using it to glorify a nutter. You do get that don't you? Or are you so far gone on your planet?

It's a shame Mr Moat didn't blow Amanda Knox's head off too, then we could have put two "Threads" to bed!!!

I don't understand your comment Rhodesly

Loosely - What exactly don't you understand as it's as plain as the nose on your face what my meaning was.

Incidentally, I take it you saw the front page of the Daily Mail this morning with the banner headline ' PM Fury at Facebook Tributes to Killer', I gather David Cameron has naively attempted to pressurise Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg into taking down the 'offending' page I touched on yesterday which currently has almost 30,000 members. Zuckerberg's response however was quite rightly, and I quote, 'we believe that enabling people to have these different opinions and debate about a topic can help bring together lots of different views for a healthy discussion'.
