Saturday 17th July 2pm - Aston Clinton v Southill Alexander

 

I heard from a very reliable source this game finished a competetive 2-2

 

'C A A' Your source spot on also at game Southill Goalkeeper m.o.m Aston just about edge it also think Southill looked a good team fair result both teams happy with result coffee%20(2).gif

I heard from a very reliable source this game finished a competetive 2-2

 

'C A A' Your source spot on also at game Southill Goalkeeper m.o.m Aston just about edge it also think Southill looked a good team fair result both teams happy with result coffee%20(2).gif

Aston Clinton by far the better side, could have had 3 or 4 in the first half but the wind was a factor. To be fair it was a factor for both teams. efc spot on with M.O.M for SAFC- we'd love to sign him! Southill still trialling some players so definitely nowhere near as well organised as AC. Their M.O.M was their red haired right wing who had pace, control and whipped in perfect crosses.

A good workout for us, it was easy to see why Aston Clinton finished 2nd last season. They look a good well organised side. We've still got to find our feet with our current guys with So many changes over the summer, but they're honest & want to improve.

The First Qualifying Round on the 4th September saw Berko receive a bye to a Second Qualifying Round home tie with the winners of Eton Manor (Essex Senior League) versus Southill Alexander (Beds Premier League Premier Division) on Saturday 18th September.

Aston had quite a few players from last season missing, I counted at least 6 not there but the new ones who I think were a mixture of 1st 2nd and 3rd team seem to do well. Think a few may have left, although it is holiday time of course, time will tell.

Why was it a surprisingly result. Two Step 7 sides, 1st friendly & both experimenting. Not big alarm bells there. Aston Clinton were the better side though in all honesty.
