Season Ticket Renewals

Recommended Posts

Season ticket renewal letters have gone out over the past week to all persons who have been in the Supporters Club for the past three years or held a season ticket for the past two years, and the final 30 or so go out tomorrow.

Apologies for the delay on that last batch, should have been on Friday to arrive on Saturday morning, but sometimes things just don't piece together.

Anyway, just under 300 people will have been contact through this letter, and we shall see what sort of response we get. All this hard work and still we're getting shafted by Deaner and the council. I sometimes wonder why I bother

Thanks to those of you who got the letters out.

Having read it it raises yet more questions!

But firstly, I think thanks are in order to Roy, who seems to me to be a really loyal Slough guy who works his butt off for the club with very little support from the top. He seems to have taken a lot on which should rightly be dealt with by the Owner - but thanks Roy, at least with your efforts many of the things that need to happen officially have done, so we have a season to start.

But it seems sad that Roy has to write in these terms that the negotiations are going on behind closed doors and it is yet another month before any statement will be issued - who believes that?

it is also of concern that Martyn Deaner personally "paid the yearly ground share fee to Windsor and Eton". THat may be OK to get us started, but if you look at that, i.e. FRUS can't pay it, in conjunction with the fact that the cheques for season tickets are to be paid to the Supporters Club, that suggests that the next set of accounts for FRUS will be as bad as the last, and as Roger pointed out a couple of days ago, financial stability is a key criterion if we are ever to get out of this league and back where we belong. Not good!!

So we have Martyn's assurances that the outstanding problems will be dealt with in the shortest possible time, and on the other hand we have the Thornes saying in the local paper that the future is with the Trust and them, without MWD. Who to believe?

It is also interesting that one of the new players has signed a two year contract. Who is it with? FRUS? MWD personally? STSA?

Just more potential confusion!

So I am sure that many will want to support the club by signing up, but paying up your cash will definitely be a leap of faith!

As much as I would have loved it to have been a group of people getting those letters out, I managed to print them all (letters & envelopes) and with the help of Emma folding & sealing, and I think Roy may have put some stamps on, we got there.

I'll put your concerns across to Roy and see what answers he comes back with.

well done gary for the web and letters. just two problems i have to save money aside for my new college term and do have an intrest in helping the club and hopefully when college and football systomns settle down i may be able to find the money but impossible to say as im triyng to get back into a very difercault season especialy as i have spoken about night games and finding balls in the ground outside. unfortunatly i am running a little low and admit that i don,t allways and have not for a while bought a season ticket due to low funs. this year is more dificult because of the football season. i also see that the monday game is still noted as the tuesday in the web. take care gary emma see you on coach or at epsom match at banstead.
