Steve Bateman talks in the paper about needing another center back.

 

One of my main concerns is who will replace Buchanan as our 20/30 goal scorer which WILL BE AN ABOLUTE MUST if we are to compete for the title next season.

 

BTW in all the statements made by SB in the local rags, I don't think any have mentioned Steve Sinclair coming back to us?

 

Also, the news that Adam Martin looks to be going elsewhere after SB's initial optimism of him coming back to us is a serious blow.

You are correct Reading Rebel. Replacing Elliot's goals is a priority and i'm sure Bates knows that. We saw the previous week he went after Danny Burnell who would have been that man were we to get him, so i'm sure he'll be on the case. We have all of pre-season to find one and i'm sure we'll see lots of trialists as we do each summer and with Dave Anderson now on board his contacts will help here.

 

I'm sure i've read somewhere and heard that Sincs is returning, so I would not worry too much about that.

 

Potentially losing Adam Martin is a blow, but at the end of the day it's a Conference club, so good luck to Adam. If it does not work out as Steve says then we could see him back.
