Am not sure whether to take this post seriously or not. Ex-Southend 'keeper Danny Gay is on trial over in sunny ol' Hornchurch at the mo - played on Saturday - but as to signing, you'll have to ask Official as I have no idea about that area.

oh and hockton seems class. where did we get him from and how old is he? he seems to have scored loads in pre season but i guess the real test is yet to come!

what do we think of Mr Jones up front? he seems to talk a good game to those around him and he seems like he is pretty fit but unlike hockton he hasnt really bagged that many.

I don't think anybody's scored that many apart from Hockton - A.Jones is the second top scorer at present with 2 goals from pre-season. With Bauckham still not ready (apparently he's back in training) it's obviously between AJ and Ansell for the final strikers position alongside Hockton. Not sure that either Jones or Hockton are 100% fit at present, so would start with Ansell, leaving Jones as an option to come off the bench as a 2nd half "impact" substitution.
