Greaves to stay in charge at Witham

WITHAM Town manager Danny Greaves looks set to remain at the helm of the Essex Senior League club.

 

The future of Greaves – the son of footballing legend Jimmy – had been in doubt, following the decision by the Football Association not to promote the club to the Ryman League.

 

He had been considering his future with the club after Town were denied promotion, despite finishing as runners-up in the Essex Senior League.

 

But after returning from holiday, Greaves is set to commit himself to Witham for at least another season, the Braintree & Witham Times is reporting.

 

Chairman Tony Last said: “We’re 99.9 per cent sure that Danny will be staying with us for the coming season.”
