DORKING FC.

 

July 20th Southwick Home

 

July 23-24th TBA. (Was to have been Crawley Town but awaiting confirmation)

 

July 27th Leatherhead Home

 

August 3rd Oakwood Away

 

 

 

 

 

BJR I'VE READ IN NLP THAT OAKWOOD NO LONGER EXIST ?

 

I was given this list by our coach last night. I think there is more than one Oakwood.

 

I'll check it out when I can get in touch with John.

That was the Oakwood in Maidstone, NG. I would imagine this Oakwood will be the one in Crawley, given the Manager's Sussex background.

 

Not a very exhaustive list of friendlies BJR and surely it's getting a bit late to get much else organised? If the pitch plays up as last pre-season then we're really in trouble!

 

Looking forward to seeing the Dons stiffs at Meadowbank on 3rd August, albeit against Bookham!

John confirms Oakwood are alive and well, based in Crawley and are in Sussex Div 2.

 

I was on the pitch Tuesday evening with the Management team. We are spraying gallons and gallons and gallons of water onto the pitch, but it seems to be a never ending battle. The problems of a solid clay area I'm afraid.

Dorking FC and Bookham FC have arranged a training/friendly to be played at Bookham's Christie Road Ground this Saturday, July 17th.

 

It will consist of four half-hour game periods with roll-on/roll-off allowed.

 

For those with Sat Nav and wishing to attend, the Dorking Road post-code is KT23 4PA

Our 'home friendly' against Southwick for Tuesday 20th. July will be played at:-

 

The 'Big-Field', Brockham with full use of their facilities, courtesy of The Brockham Badgers. This is to protect the Meadowbank pitch during this dry spell.

Does anyone know what's happening at Chessington & Hook this year? Anyone know of any friendlies for them?

 

 

Found a couple.

They beat Erith 2-1 on Saturday (don't know which Erith) and they're playing at home to Carshalton Athletic on Saturday 24th @1pm according to the Carshalton website. Possibly a game to follow that?

Cheers VPCTFC. I was down there last night actually. had a friendly against Met Police. Drew 0-0. From what I could see they have most of the same squad as last year with the exception of a couple of players. brought a few new players in as well. Believe there is a game on 27th July as well but unsure who against!

Very late change.

Due to Beaconsfield not having a pitch to play on we've sorted out a double header at home to Wodson Park of the South Midlands League tomorrow. Don't know which way round the teams will play but kick offs at 12.30pm and 2.30pm.

 

On Tuesday our ressies will be at home to Frimley Green @ 7.30pm. First team away to Binfield @ 7.45pm.
