In the unbearable heat on an immaculate surface at Welling, Paul Sutton and Glen Dyson put out a mixture of first team squad and youth players against a well organised Erith & Belvedere.

 

Erith probably had the better of the first half. Their pacy strikers gave us no end of problems but thankfully their poor finishing meant that the half stayed goalless.

 

It was us who were stronger in the second half, and Steve Jones actually found the net from a cross from Bradley Kite, but it was ruled out due to an earlier 'foot up'. Erith's goal came with about 4 minutes to go from one of their many substitutes who ran from the half way line and struck home from the edge of the penalty area.
